The Final Update; July 26th, 2008

Our dear, dear friends and family,

Johnny lost his battle; but with Christ, he is victorious. My dear, sweet brother went to be with our Lord and Creator this afternoon at 5:40 PM. He went peacefully and without any pain in the presence of my mother. my brother James, my husband Ken, and myself. It was a beautiful passing on to eternal life. All of us felt his sweet presence depart from the hospital room, leaving behind special memories of the years God had given us with him. We are sad and shed tears for each other and you, for we will have to learn to live without the sunshine of his smile. We are so very grateful that God chose us to be John's earthly family. We know that you share the same feelings, for anyone who knew my brother, loved my brother.

Johnny's obituary and arrangements will be noted in the Monday Aiken Standard. We plan to have a memorial service for him at Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church (the old Town Creek Church) on Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
